And I'm Ba-ack!

I just checked when it was that I last posted in this blog...February 25th 2018! To say that I am not a prolific blogger is an understatement. However, to say that things haven't changed much since I last posted in my blog is an out and out lie!

A LOT has changed, but how to start telling the tale of these changes? Do I "Start at the very beginning" a la Sound of music?

If I was the logical type of girl, "ABC, 123" would be a very good place to start. Though anyone who knows anything about me would know that I don't have a logical bone in my body. So maybe I shouldn't start from the beginning.

Maybe I should start at the end and explain how I got here, like an old fashioned "who done it" murder mystery?

If I wanted to build the suspense, I'd definitely go with the murder mystery..giving you just enough of a hint to make you think you know what's going on, and then leaving you shocked and amazed at the last minute twist. But I'm no Columbo and the only way I can work with Spine Tingling Suspense is to actually be talking about spines.

Maybe I should weave a tale and have a mixed up, muddled up conversation with you and hope that in the end, you've been able to work out all the important parts?

.Let's face it, I'm an artist, so "messed up and muddled up" is the way to go!

Before I start, TLOML thought I had better tell you that he's fine...just in case I left you on a cliff-hanger and you didn't get the memo that he recovered from his back surgery. In fact he's so fine that we've been doing a bit of travelling, but not overseas. We've done quite a lot of travelling up and down from Gladstone where our daughter (MOL), son-in-law..and the the little man who matters most (TLMWMM) live..

Our little gift from God.

Of course, as you can imagine, this gorgeous little bundle of joy is a huge reason for the many trips to the tropics, and his mum and dad are absolutely part of the reason for our transits, but the big changes are not ALL about them!

Those of you who know me know that I love having a productive garden. Since we moved into our home in Woodridge 34 years ago, we have planted more fruit trees than I can recall (more than 1 per square metre, though not all survived), and we only live on a standard 24 perch block. So part of the big change involved me and TLOML doing heaps of work in our garden. Now when I say "productive", I don't want you for a moment to think that this also means "tidy"! I'm more into a permaculture style of gardening, which involves very few straight edges and tidy forms. TLOML on the other hand loves an orderly garden with nicely cut lawns and straight edges to make mowing those lawns easier. This year he has managed to get his own way, and the garden looks very lovely, and I don't mind at all because I got my own way too!...more about that later.

It hasn't been completely about the garden either. Part of our future proofing over the past few years was to make our home easy to get around once we enter into our dotterage years. We made a fantastic en-suite and walk-in-wardrobe downstairs and renovated the entire first floor so that we could even get around in a wheelchair if we need to. This included making a gorgeous studio space for Jeanie MacNamara Art on the ground floor. The house looks spectacular!

Did you check out the link? The logical people amongst my readers will have checked the link and tried to make some logical sense out of it all. The suspense junkies might think they've worked out the plot already, and the messed up and muddled up are happy to be diverted and have probably gone of searching a whole lot more houses from the link. So with that in mind, I'll leave you all to it...for now...until my next post anyway
